How to Wear Scrubs Elegantly: 3 Tips by Sansiya Uniforms

Modern scrubs have become the go-to attire for nurses, doctors, and surgeons, yet navigating the plethora of colors, patterns, sizes, and materials can sometimes feel like more of a challenge than a solution. While scrubs are undoubtedly practical for the demanding hours spent caring for patients, how can style-conscious essential workers elevate their everyday attire into a fashion statement?

In this article, Sansiya Uniforms offers tips on selecting a set that would look good on you!

Strategies for Styling Scrubs Elegantly

  1. Top & Bottoms: Scrubs should offer enough room for comfortable movement while maintaining a professional appearance. Our 3-pocket v-neck scrubs are a popular choice for those seeking a semi-fitted style. Healthcare workers often wear scrubs for extended shifts of up to 12 hours, necessitating durable and soft attire that can withstand prolonged wear. Scrubs can also be cute and oversized. Our scrub pants have both elastic and drawstrings which are very relaxing and can be slept in (not that we would recommend). During the winter season, layer up to stay warm.

  2. Material: Certain scrubs consist solely of 100% cotton, whereas others are crafted from blends of cotton, polyester, and rayon. While pure cotton scrubs offer breathability, they are prone to wrinkling. Conversely, scrubs composed of pure polyester or fabric blends are less susceptible to shrinking and wrinkling. We have a special range for Indian summers, when temperatures reach 49 degrees, featuring 100% cotton scrubs, which are exceptionally comfortable and are our best-selling product during the summers. Additionally, we offer 100% cotton lab coats specifically designed for the summer season.

  3. Colour: When selecting the color of scrubs for your hospital or clinic, opt for shades that complement your skin tone, hair color, or eye color. If you're unsure about which colors suit you best, consider your preferences. While black is a great color, it might not feel very comfortable in the summers. Sky blue or navy blue are the standard and most commonly purchased colors. If you'd like styling tips for yourself or employees at your organisation, contact us here.
